When Jo Ellen Davis became the new manager for the Goshen Farmers Market in January, she quickly began building new community partnerships. One of the first challenges she faced was finding help for the front desk. She reached out to the Elkhart County Clubhouse and arranged an exchange of weekly baskets of produce for volunteer labor by their members. This mutually beneficial relationship has improved access to fresh produce for the Clubhouse members and provided meaningful community engagement, while filling clear staffing needs at the Market.
